This is a four week program designed to teach the basic skills of rowing and best suited to anyone wanting to give rowing a try for the first time or if you are wanting to brush up on your skills / technique.

Rowing is a great way to become fit in a relaxed and scenic outdoor environment.

You are not required to be fit to learn to row however, you will be expected to be capable of light intensity aerobic exercise and to be able to swim 100metres.

Please note, you will receive a full refund if after the first session you feel for any reason not to continue with this program. However, we will require you to pay up front for insurance purposes.

What to wear: -

  • Important you wear a snug fitting top with gym tights / cycle like shorts. This is so your hands do not get caught in clothing when rowing
  • Layers are ideal as it can get chilly if you are resting for a period of time on the water, mainly while a fellow rower is learning technique
  • cap or beanie
  •  Joggers or slip-ons that you can leave on the ways (aka dock)
  • thick socks
  • Leave phones/wallets in car. We tuck car keys away in the shed before heading out

We look forward to meeting you and if you have any questions in the meantime,

please contact me.
