Update on Wearing of Life Jackets and Buckingham Rowing Club Safety Policy.

Background: As you may be aware MAST has had under consideration the development of new rules around safety of rowers and the wearing of life jackets. As of January this year below has come into effect.

After careful consideration the Buckingham Rowing Club safety requirements are to remain unchanged.

All Club rowers rowing boats out to the Buckingham sheds must be accompanied by a coach boat or a safety boat and the safety/coach boat must be in such proximity to the rowers to provide appropriate supervision and to readily provide assistance in a timely manner.

There are no exceptions to this rule.
